After i updated the Adobe lightroom software i was just looking the new features when i saw this pic i took a couple years
a go .
It feels like i have done some copy and past on it but i didn't ! It is straight from the raw file .
The overcast day and the bokeh of the lens (80-200 2.8 ) gave this really contrasty effect to the pic .
I really liked it . I have to go through of my old pics more often .
Ps :Miss Shi asked what is the title of this photo .As i have not think about it. So i am open to suggestions for a title.Hit me with it .

On my way to Wajima i had the ipod on the shuffle mode blasting on my car stereo when i saw this really nice rice field .
So i stopped for take a pic or two and i left the car on and walked about 50 meters (safe to do this in Japan ) when i realized
how loud the music was .I felt bad coz i parked right on the front of this huge beautiful house . I snapped a couple photos and
was about to run back to my car and get going when this head pop out from behind the flowers around the rice field .
When the old men said good morning (in japanese) i thought " Oh man , this old men gonna tell you off soo bad or even call
the cops coz the loud music and trespassing". With this thought in my mind i start to apologize before he said another word .
What was my surprise when Tanaka san (old men name) turn to me and say "That's fine don't worry " . I thought . What ?????
This is Japan and i am a "gaijin" come on !
But Tanaka san just kept talking and asked "did you stop because the flowers or for the rice fields ?
so this dialog started
Me- both
Tanaka san- Both belong to me , i am glad you liked
me- Tanaka san i think i should turn down the music because your neighbor will get upset .
Tanaka san- no worry , both houses belong to me too . Wait a second you have a weird accent , are you a gaijin ?
Me Surprise - Yes , Tanaka san ! ( now he gonna call the cops )
Tanaka san - You look like a japanese and you speak this area dialect , why ?
me - been here in Ishikawa for almost 10 years ,so this is the only japanese i know as i never study japanese .
About looking like japanese .My grama and grampa are from Japan .
Tanaka san - (laughs) You got me fooled for a while .
So what you think about Japan ?
Me - I love this place
Tanaka san - Me too (laughs)
Me- Tanaka san can i take a pic of you ? ( Now he really gonna call the cops )
Tanaka san- of course (while lighting a fag)
Me surprised again - thanks .
Tanaka san- I'm trying to quit but is hard !
Me - me too .I know what you mean .
After that we start to talk about the big earthquake and how it damage the area , when i notice a sports car in front of his house .
Me - Tanaka san the sports cars is yours ?
Tanaka san - No , it's my sons car . You know you can drive over the speed limit around here because there is no cops
around ( what ???? a japanese saying is ok to break the law ? ).
We chat for a little while and i excused myself and start to walk to my car .When i said again - U have a very nice house
Tanaka san . He said thanks with a big smile on his face .
So i left ! But i am really happy i stop and talked to him .
I have been trying to learn how to approach peoples and ask to take pictures .
But Tanaka san showed me how to do it .All you need is a smile and respect towards the person .
Tanaka san big thanks !!!! You made a "gaijin" happy today .
I hope you live a long and happy life and i hope i will see you again one day .

Wajima

Today i decide to go for a drive around Wajima area . I drove for almost 2 hours straight just stopping once to take a photo
of a rice field and have a chat with one of the local farmers who was sooo nice and open( but this is a subject for another post )
but when i got to the place i want .Guess what ?Rain !!!!
I took about 20 photos and that was it . But was a good ride except for the 2 accidents i saw on the highway on my way back .
The first one 2 cars crashed really bad but nobody got hurt as far i could see .
The second one was bad !!!! The only thing i could see before i turn my face to the other side was a body laying down almost
on the middle of the highway ( a little before Chirihama) dead ! It would made a great photo , the body , rain , car ,etc .
But what good it would do ? What purpose ? None .
After that i couldn't see why i was upset because i got a huge scratch and broke a rear light on my car last night .
Life is short and everybody got a number ! So live it up before is too late .
So i am really thankful for the 20 pics i got , rain and the safe ride back home .

She came from Greece she had a thirst for knowledge
She studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College, that's where I caught her eye.
She told me that her Dad was loaded
I said in that case I'll have a rum and coke-cola.
She said fine and in thirty seconds time she said, I want to live like common people
I want to do whatever common people do, I want to sleep with common people
I want to sleep with common people like you.
Well what else could I do - I said I'll see what I can do.
I took her to a supermarket
I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere, so it started there.
I said pretend you've got no money, she just laughed and said oh you're so funny.
I said yeah? Well I can't see anyone else smiling in here.
Are you sure you want to live like common people
You want to see whatever common people see
You want to sleep with common people,
you want to sleep with common people like me.
But she didn't understand, she just smiled and held my hand.
Rent a flat above a shop, cut your hair and get a job.
Smoke some fags and play some pool, pretend you never went to school.
But still you'll never get it right
'cos when you're laid in bed at night watching roaches climb the wall
If you call your Dad he could stop it all.
You'll never live like common people
You'll never do what common people do
You'll never fail like common people
You'll never watch your life slide out of view, and dance and drink and screw
Because there's nothing else to do.
Sing along with the common people, sing along and it might just get you thru'
Laugh along with the common people
Laugh along even though they're laughing at you and the stupid things that you do.
Because you think that poor is cool.

BTW today i rode my bicycle to work !!! First time ever .

Hyakumangoku festival 2007 !! I missed the last 2 years but this year i was there ! The crazy gaijin with a big camera .
